St. Johns River Ferry temporarily out of service

During an inspection, authorities found that a part from the steering unit was damaged and will need to be replaced.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — (Note: The video above is from a previous report.)

The St. Johns River Ferry is temporarily out of service due to damage found to its steering unit.

According to the Jacksonville Transportation Unit, the ferry will remain suspended throughout the weekend and into early next week.  

During an inspection, authorities found that a part from the steering unit was damaged and will need to be replaced.
