Jacksonville man arrested by detective posing as 'drug abuser,' nine others arrested in raid

Waldon Caine was one of ten arrested in a raid of the Jax Inn on Jacksonville's Westside last Wednesday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Last Wednesday, a suspect was arrested two months after he was investigated by an undercover Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detective.

Waldon Caine allegedly engaged in a "drug-related conversation" with a detective who was posing as a "drug user/abuser," at the Jax Inn on Lane Avenue on Jan. 10, according to his arrest report. The detective then entered Walden's room and bought drugs.

The incident was recorded on video and audio.

The undercover detective served the warrant at the motel room and also found Adrian Dionne Bradshaw inside, according to the arrest report. Bradshaw was arrested.

In the hotel room, they seized crack cocaine and a cell phone they say was used for illegal purposes.

Caine was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine, renting a structure to be used for trafficking, possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana, using drug paraphernalia and threatening law enforcement officers.

The arrest report is heavily redacted. The un-redacted text does not explain why Caine was charged with threatening police.

Caine was one of ten people arrested at the Jax Inn Wednesday when police raided the motel. Only one other arrest was directly linked to Caine in police records. Several were arrested for failing to report to court, others for drug crimes.
