JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — As Hurricane Idalia swept through the First Coast and surrounding areas, First Coast News viewers sent us what they are seeing from around the community.
Hurricane Idalia battered Florida's Big Bend as a Category 3 storm with maximum sustained winds of 125 mph just before 8 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Hurricane Center's 1 p.m. advisory, Idalia is over southern Georgia bringing heavy rains with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph.
