San Jose Boulevard reopens after crash causes live wires to fall onto road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — All lanes of San Jose Boulevard are now back open near University Boulevard West after it was shut down for hours overnight because of a crash that caused live wires to fall to the ground.

JEA crews worked overnight to get the power lines up and running again. The crash happened before 10:30 p.m. Monday, and the roadway was reopened around 6:15 Tuesday morning.

All lanes both north and southbound were closed while crews cleared the area. The crash happened on San Jose Boulevard at Christopher Point Road North, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

It is unknown if anyone was hurt in the crash.
