Person pulled from submerged vehicle on Kernan Boulevard

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department tweeted that they were responding to an incident at at Kernan Boulevard and McCormick Road.

A woman has been pulled from a submerged vehicle in the Kernan Boulevard area on Tuesday.

According to police on the scene, the woman was driving along McCormick Road and lost control of the vehicle, driving into a pond on Kernan Boulevard. Three teenage passersby were able to pull the woman out of the car to safety.

The driver was taken to the hospital. At this time, it's unclear what her condition is. 

Crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department tweeted that they were responding to the incident at 12:53 p.m. at Kernan Boulevard and McCormick Road.
