Tree crashes into Arlington home during Hurricane Dorian

"That tree should have been cut down years ago."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A massive tree crashed into the back of an Arlington home early Wednesday morning as Hurricane Dorian began its descent into the First Coast.

Neighbors told First Coast News they heard a loud crash at around 2 a.m. at River Bluff Road North. It wasn't until later in the morning that neighbors came outside to find the cause of the noise.

"That tree should have been cut down years ago," one neighbor said.

No one was home at the time when the tree completely uprooted and the neighborhood did not lose power.

First Coast News tried to speak to the homeowner but received no response.
