JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Lake Butler teen has been killed in a early morning crash in Union County Saturday.
The 18-year-old crash victim was traveling east in a sedan on West State Road 238 around 2:55 a.m. and "for unknown reasons" did not maintain a proper lane, a Florida Highway Patrol crash report said.
The sedan traveled across the westbound lane, then off the roadway traveling in the eastbound travel lane. The sedan then left the roadway which resulted in the front right of the sedan colliding with a tree, the report said.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Union County Fire Rescue.
