JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on the Hart Bridge that occurred shortly before noon Friday involving an officer.
The agency said in a release that an officer was involved in a traffic accident and sustained minor injuries. The officer is expected to be OK and a second driver was transported to a local hospital.
The Florida Department of Transportation categorized the crash as "major." JSO said both directions will be closed for "an undetermined amount of time," though it appears some traffic began trickling through southbound around 12:45 p.m.
