Representatives from the Jacksonville Jaguars and Mayor Lenny Curry gathered on Thursday to celebrate the Rolling Stones’ tour stop in Jacksonville and make a very special announcement.
Friday marks the first time The Stones have played in Jacksonville in nearly 30 years and the River City is one of only 13 cities across America to host the band in 2019.
Mayor Lenny Curry said he was honored to host The Stones here in the River City and therefore wanted to issue an official proclamation.
"July 19, 2019, will officially be known as The Rolling Stones Day," said Curry during the press conference.
