JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot multiple times in the Highlands neighborhood on the northside Saturday afternoon.
JSO said the shooting happened in the 800 block of Broward Road around 2 p.m.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a man in his late 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are currently canvassing the area for witnesses and any video surveillance. Police have not identified a suspect at this time.
