JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shot in the 1600 block of West Sixth Street Monday night.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the incident happened at 8 p.m.
They responded to the scene and found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was shot inside the home, police said.
He was taken to a local hospital.
Police say his injuries are not life threatening.
The suspect fled on foot.
