Attorney Nicole Jamieson says Twiggs has been receiving inpatient treatment at a facility away from the area and that he and his family have been cooperating with law enforcement.

Twiggs, 20, was arrested early Saturday morning after the Fernandina Beach Police Department say he admitted to posting two separate threats on an anonymous chat site stating, "My name is Wesley Twiggs and I am going to shoot up Fernandina Beach High School on January 15th."

Twiggs' attorney said her client never had access to firearms and there was no evidence he made an actual plan to harm anyone.

"In anticipation of classes resuming, both students and parents can be assured that there is no threat of harm to any member of the Fernandina Beach High School community," Jamieson said.

Twiggs was booked into the Nassau County Jail at 2 a.m. Saturday and was later released on a $25,000 bond.
