2,100 JEA customers affected by outages Sunday afternoon

This power outage is affecting 1,479 people, according to the JEA outage map.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: Almost all outages have now been resolved as of Sunday night.

Over 2,100 JEA customers were affected by power outages Sunday.

A large outage near the border of Duval and Nassau counties is affecting 1,479 customers. The outage encompasses most of Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve State Park, Betz-Tiger Point Preserve and Black Hammock Island. 

The cause of the outage has not yet been determined.

A JEA crew is on site.

Smaller scattered outages around Avondale, Jacksonville University and HCA Florida Memorial Hospital are also effecting customers. While the cause of some is unknown, others are due to downed trees or branches.
