JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: All northbound lanes on Dames Point Bridge reopened after fatal crash.

All northbound lanes on the Dames Point Bridge were closed Wednesday morning after a man crashed into a "concrete barrier wall" on the bridge, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Captain Eric Prosswimmer tells First Coast News that four cars were involved in the crash.

The FHP crash report states that at 5:05 a.m., the vehicle of the 50-year-old man from Hialeah, Fla. became disabled in the left lane after crashing into the wall. The man was the only occupant of the vehicle he was driving, troopers say.

Next, the report states that a pickup truck driven by a 69-year-old man from Jacksonville Beach, crashed into the left side of the Hialeah man's sedan. The 50-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to FHP, and the Jacksonville Beach man was uninjured.
