Jaguars select LSU wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. with the 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

Jaguars traded back from their original 17th overall pick.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — After trading down, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Brian Thomas Jr., wide receiver from LSU.

He's 6'4, 201 lbs. from Walker, Louisiana.

Thomas is a man of many accolades.

In 2023, he was the Third Team All-America per AP, second team all-SEC per AP, Coaches and was the 2023 Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist.

The Jaguars said, Thomas was a big part of Jayden Daniels' being awarded the Heisman Trophy is 2023.

In his junior season, (2023), Thomas played in 13 games with 12 starts.

His sophomore season, Thomas appeared in 13 games with 6 starts.

Out with Calvin Ridley, in comes Brian Thomas Jr. 

"You try to identify the players that can help you on both sides of the ball," said Trent Baalke, the Jaguars General Manager.

"You're adding a skilled receiver. You're adding depth," Jaguars Head Coach, Doug Pederson said.
