Ribault Boys Basketball sendoff D1 athlete for the first time in a decade

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. β€” It was a landmark day for the Ribault Trojans as two standout athletes inked their letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level on Wednesday.

Caleb Williams, a standout on the basketball court, committed to continue his athletic journey at Lafayette College, while Johnnie Braziel Jr., a rising star in football, pledged his talents to Eureka College in Illinois.

The signing ceremony, attended by friends, family, students, and staff, marked a significant milestone for the athletes and the school community alike.

Both athletes took the opportunity to express gratitude to their support systems during brief remarks.

According to school officials, it has been a decade since the athletic department last sent a Division I basketball player to the collegiate level. They view this achievement as an honor and aspire for it to set a new standard for the program.
