Skeletal remains were found in St. Augustine Beach by a doctor on vacation, riding his bike through an undeveloped residential area.
The bones were found off of Old Beach Road in St. Augustine Beach. The bones have been there for 75 years or less, according to authorities. The remains are being excavated in order to be sent to the Medical Examiner's Office.
Authorities will be looking into missing person cases to try and identify the bones. There is no way to determine if foul play is suspected at this time.
The location where the remains were found is across the street from a place where bones were discovered in the 1980s. Those bones turned out to be historical in nature.
