Jacksonville hospitals celebrate 3 babies born during eclipse

Three babies were born in Jacksonville during the brief celestial event.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — While millions were enraptured by Monday's total Solar Eclipse, a couple of local hospitals celebrated three babies born during the eclipse's two-and-a-half hour window.

There were three babies born on Monday during the celestial event between 1:45 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. at two Baptist Health hospitals.

"Two were born at Baptist Beaches and one was born at Baptist South. The baby at Baptist South was Aaron Scott Clark, or 'Ace' and he was born at (2:23 p.m.)," according to the hospital. "We did have one eclipse-centric baby name yesterday, just not born in that eclipse time frame. Ellie Luna Faustino was born Monday at 8:11 a.m. at Baptist Beaches. Mom, Lynette Venus Faustino, also has a space-themed name!"

The next time the trio have a chance to see an eclipse over the continental United States is 2044, meaning they'll be around 20 years old.
