JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Three suspects accused of kidnapping, robbing and attempting to rape a woman at gun point in Arlington were caught after a high-speed chase Wednesday night.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was able to catch the suspects by using the On Star GPS tracking system in the woman's stolen car.

JSO released the identities of all three suspects Thursday: Steven Douglas Harris, 25; Bernard Carlos Gaines, 21; and Alandrey Peral Brown, 21.

JSO says the crime spree began when the victim, who identified herself to FCN as Erica, went to pick up an acquaintance she met three days prior at an apartment complex on Bert Road just after 6 p.m. When she arrived at the complex, three men surrounded her SUV, pointed guns at her and forced her into the passenger seat.

Erica said it was a set-up.

The armed suspects drove to an ATM downtown and told her to remove money, but she wasn't able to make a withdrawal.

The suspects then drove to her home in the 13200 block of Morning Sun Drive in Arlington. When they arrived, two of the suspects allegedly attempted to sexually assault the victim, but stopped when she became ill, JSO says.

The suspects then brought her inside, tied her up and stole purses, and X-box and computers from the home, according to JSO.

"They were just tearing apart everything: my son's, my 3-year-old son's toyboxes, just ripping everything apart, just destroying things, and they kept putting the gun on me saying, 'tell me where the money is,' and I'm like, 'I don't really have any money, I don't have excessive amounts of money.' I am not even working right now," Erica said.

The suspects left the scene in the victim's SUV.

Erica said she was able to wiggle loose from the hog-tie and call JSO from a neighbor's home. Erica's neighbor told FCN she still had rope on her wrists.

"I popped the ties they had around me, I broke those and ran to the door as soon as the door locked they tried to get back in," Erica said.

JSO used the victim's information to track the vehicle using its GPS system and were able to quickly locate the car in the Arlington area.

A deputy attempted to stop the suspects, but a high-speed chase ensued. The SUV crashed into four vehicles as it sped away from police on the Arlington Expressway.

A short time later, the SUV crashed into an iron gate in the 500 block of Acme Road and all three suspects ran away.

With the help of K9 units and a helicopter circling above, all three suspects were quickly corralled around 8:10 p.m. Both guns believed to be used in the crimes were recovered from the vehicle.

All three men are expected to face robbery, burglary, attempted sexual battery and abduction charges, according to JSO. One of the suspects involved has an active warrant for home invasion and is also being sought by U.S. Marshals for an unknown crime.

Erica was not physically injured, JSO says, and was not transported to the hospital.

"I'm very grateful I have my life," Erica told FCN. "I'm grateful that they got them right away. I have to say thank you to the Duval County police because they were like superheroes or something."

Erica told JSO the acquaintance who called her for a ride was named "Mesha." Erica said she met Mesha at "Your Place Bar and Grill" on Atlantic Boulevard.

JSO is looking to interview Mesha to find out more information.

All three suspects face a long list of charges including home invasion robbery with a firearm, carjacking with a firearm, kidnapping, sexual battery, possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance (mollie) and resisting an officer without violence.ID=15815693
