JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A boat capsized near shore at Vilano Beach on Wednesday afternoon.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the vessel, which capsized about half a mile offshore. Two men were on the boat when the boat turned over but were able to swim to shore, officials said. They are being evaluated by St. Johns County EMS.
FWC is investigating the incident. It is unknown, at this time, what caused the vessel to flip.
