JSO: Man expected to be OK after shooting in Regency area Wednesday

Police say the incident happened in the 1200 block of Beacon Point Drive.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is expected to be OK after a shooting in the Regency area Monday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police say they were called about an incident that happened in the 1200 block of Beacon Point Drive around 8:47 p.m.

When they arrived, JSO says officers located a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries 

He is expected to be OK, police say.

At this time, there are no suspects, JSO says.
