JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Lanes reopened around 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Authorities have responded to a crash with injuries involving a log truck on I-295 north and Merrill Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash closed all lanes on I-295 around 9:15 a.m. According to an FHP report, "For unknown reasons, the log trailer detached from the tractor and overturned blocking the travel lanes and dropping the logs on the roadway. I-295 was shut down due to extensive cleanup."
The state Department of Transportation categorized the crash as "major."
