It has been one year since Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away.
The 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston died on July 26, 2015. She had been unconscious for nearly eight months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell home on January 31, 2015.
Since then, her tragic death has remained in the news:
- In August of 2015, a multi-million dollar civil lawsuit was filed by Bobbi Kristina's conservator accusing Nick Gordon, her boyfriend, of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress. He was also accused of transferring money from her account into his own without authorization.
- In March of 2016, her autopsy results were released on what would have been her 23rd birthday.
- The autopsy findings indicated multiple drugs were involved, including marijuana, alcohol (ethanol), benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety) and morphine.
- A month later, Gordon was on Dr. Phil talking about the deaths of both Bobbi Kristina and Whitney Houston and how drug use played a factor in both.
- In May, Bobby Brown joined the wrongful death lawsuit against Gordon. Brown's involvement in the lawsuit came following Gordon's Dr. Phil interview, due to Gordon' discussing the case on national television.
