The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has safely located the 72-year-old man with mental health issues Thursday.
JSO said that a citizen tip led them to safely finding Albert Hughes around 3 p.m.
Police responded to the 3200 block of North Myrtle Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in reference to a missing elderly man.
When they arrived, JSO was told that Hughes was last seen being picked up by a ride company called Z-Trip around 9:15 a.m. that morning and had not returned.
Police say Hughes was supposed to be dropped off at the Quality of Life Treatment Center on Alumni Drive but they were unable to verify if he was ever taken there.
Hughes was found safe the next day, police said.
