A 38-year-old woman died after being found shot Friday morning between two abandoned homes on Ella Street, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police responded at 3:55 a.m. Friday to the 1500 block of Ella Street to a person shot, who was found between two abandoned homes.
The victim, later identified as Antonia Antwon English, was transported to a local hospital and later died.
Police say this is an active homicide investigation.
