CHILD FOUND SAFE: JSO still searching for child's father after brief disappearance

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office needs help in finding a missing baby.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has found a 7-month-old girl after a brief disappearance, but officers are still looking for her father.

JSO said Aroyal Renae Bennett was found left with a family member. She was believed to be with her father, Antonio Bennett, in a white four-door 2006 Chevrolet Impala with Florida Tag BYTT53.

Antonio A. Bennett is 29 years old, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 190 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, according to JSO.

He is also wanted for crimes unrelated to the missing child.

JSO responded Tuesday to the 800 block of Broward Road in reference to the missing 7-month-old child. The child's mother said she got into an altercation with the girl's father, Bennett, and he left the residence with the child.

The child's father has a criminal history. He served time in prison for defrauding a financial business, uttering forged bills, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of cocaine and other charges.

He has multiple tattoos on his back, arms, chest, neck and stomach.
