Authorities confirmed Tuesday that an escaped inmate from Baker County who fled a Correctional Institution work camp has been captured.
Law enforcement confirmed that Shane M. Kizziah, 25, was apprehended in Clay County after he was involved in a traffic crash.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office told First Coast News the inmate somewhere along the way after the escape stole a pickup. CCSO began a short pursuit with the suspect and he crashed into another vehicle.
The occupants of that car suffered minor injuries.
He escaped Tuesday at about 1:50 p.m. in Sanderson, Florida.
He was serving time for robbery with a gun or deadly weapon.
