1 adult dead, 3-year-old child injured in shooting in Turtle Creek neighborhood

Once at the scene, officers found five people, including a 3-year-old child, with injuries from a shooting, according to JSO. One person was dead at the scene.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One adult is dead and a 3-year-old child is injured after a shooting happened in Jacksonville's Turtle Creek neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

At around 10 p.m., officers and first responders were called to the 11500 block of Harts Road. Once at the scene, officers found five people, including a 3-year-old child, with injuries from a shooting, according to JSO. One person was dead at the scene.

Officers are still investigating what led up to the shooting but said they believe the suspect was wearing all black and possibly a face mask. JSO wants the community to be on the lookout for three people wearing all black and face masks who may have gotten into a vehicle.
