Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair returns for 68th year

The 68th Annual Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair will kick off Thursday, Nov. 2, for 11 days of fun.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It's that time of year again! The 68th Annual Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair kicks off Thursday at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds.

Crews were busy setting up and putting the finishing touches on their rides and stands Tuesday. There will be plenty of fair food and thrills this year, including two new attractions that may put you in the splash zone.

"New this year, we’re excited to have the Sea Lion Splash, which is a sea lion show. Also, the Shark Encounter is new this year, and a blacksmith show which we’re really excited about," Bill Olson, the President and CEO of the fair, said.

Along with the new attractions, people can expect dozens of concerts and shows throughout the 11 days of the fair, including a performance by Top 40 Country Artist Dalton Dover.

The fair opens at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, and runs until Saturday, Nov. 12. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12, $6 for seniors 55+, and free for children 5 and under. Mechanical ride tickets are sold separately.
