JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Ross Mummah is a meteorologist for First Coast News.

Ross graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology & Atmospheric Science and a minor in History.

Ross originally grew up in central Pennsylvania and kicked off his broadcast career working at his favorite hometown station WHTM in Harrisburg, PA. After working there for his final two years at Penn State, he decided to make the big cross country move to Oklahoma where he worked at KOKH in Oklahoma City. Ross covered countless severe weather events, from tornado outbreaks to massive hailstorms, to derechos and even some major winter storms. In addition to his love for the weather, Ross is also an avid sports fan & was a weekend sports anchor during his time in OKC. He got to cover everything from Thunder basketball to Sooner & Cowboy football, and the National Champion Oklahoma softball team at the Women’s College World Series!

Ross is super excited to call the First Coast his new home. He'll will always be on your side during tropical and severe weather. In his free time, Ross enjoys watching football (Fly Eagles Fly!), attending Broadway shows and theatre, and training his new golden retriever puppy, Enzo, to be the best duck hunting dog around.

If you see Ross & Enzo out for a walk on the beach, be sure to stop and say hi!
