ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — One bicyclist is dead and two others are injured after being hit by a vehicle Sunday morning on US 1 in St. Johns County.
The crash happened at about 2:34 a.m. at US 1 near I-95 in St. Augustine.
A 27-year-old man was driving a sedan north in the outside lane of US-1. At some point, he veered right and struck three bicyclists, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
One of the bicyclists, a 46-year-old man, died from his injuries. The other two bicyclists, a 46-year-old woman and 41-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the sedan was not hurt, the FHP said.
