Not Bad Out There

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The afternoon looks good...just stay out of the water, rip currents are a problem today. We will be partly cloudy and warm as Earl is passing east of our beaches. Look for northerly winds at 12 with a high of 92, 88 at the beaches.

In the water conditions will be rough so stay on the beach. There is a heavy surf advisory, small craft advisory and rip current warnings are in place.

The Outer Banks of the Carolinas and Cape Cod will feel major effects from Earl. Meanwhile Fiona is still weak and should stay well out to sea.

Gaston has formed but is still closer to Africa than to us.
