One arrested after double shooting at Brix Taphouse in Jacksonville Beach

Two subjects had gunshot wounds, police say.

JAX BCH, Fla. — Two were shot in an apparent gunfight outside The Brix Taphouse in Jacksonville Beach Sunday night, police say.

Two men were found with gun shot wounds to the leg. One of them, who was identified as was Breon Wanyea Geddes, 23, was allegedly found carrying a handgun.

Geddes was found walking away from the scene toward Biggie's Pizza, where he was arrested, police say He is a convicted felon, previously convicted of aggravated fleeing.

The firearm Geddes was armed with was not stolen, police say. He is currently being held on charges of illegally possessing a firearm.

The other man is still unidentified. He was found by police behind Rita's Italian Ice.  There are no other suspects, police say. 

An investigation is underway Monday morning at The Brix Taphouse in Jacksonville Beach.  

Police blocked off most of the block with police tape from Brix down to behind Rita's Italian Ice on the opposite corner of the block. At least eight evidence markers are visible in the Brix parking lot and several others appear to be marked closer to Rita's on 3rd Avenue.

Second Street in front of Brix is shut down as well as the intersection at 2nd Avenue.

First Coast News arrived at the scene around midnight, but Jacksonville Beach Police will not give any information. Crowds were out Sunday for the Beaches Parade.
