Update: Roads near West Beaver Street in Jacksonville reopened following crash with injuries

An officer who was at the scene says a woman hit a motorcyclist (a man) on West Beaver Street; he was found 60 feet away from where the crash happened.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATESeveral roads near West Beaver Street in Jacksonville have reopened after they were closed due to a crash with injuries, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

An officer on scene says a woman hit a motorcyclist (a man) on West Beaver Street; he was found 60 feet away from where the crash happened and was taken to UF Health hospital.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office tells First Coast News several roads have closed Monday morning near West Beaver Street due to a crash with injuries.

JSO says the crash happened at the intersection of West Beaver Street and Acorn Street. Captain Eric Prosswimmer with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says a man was taken to a local hospital.

The following is a list of closures police have mentioned as a result of the crash:

  • All westbound lanes of West Beaver Street are closed from Acorn Street to Interstate 95
  • Myrtle Avenue North and Minnie Street are closed at West Beaver Street

JSO says traffic is being rerouted onto Acorn Street and I-95.

A First Coast News crew in the area spotted a car involved in the crash being towed away at 8:08 a.m.
