St. Augustine man killed in hit and run

A man was killed just after 2 a.m. Saturday while walking on SR-16 at Old Town Parkway. The driver that hit him fled the scene.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A man is dead following a hit and run just after 2 a.m. Saturday. Florida Highway Patrol said he was walking westbound on SR-16 at Old Town Parkway when he was struck by a vehicle. Police said it was possibly a white Ford F150 pickup. The driver fled after hitting the pedestrian, an FHP accident report states.

The 47-year-old St. Augustine man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are looking for what they believe to be a white 2013 Ford F150 with a sunroof with a missing front left headlight and damage to the left front end.
