Scrubbed | SpaceX's Memorial Day Falcon 9 rocket launch from Cape Canaveral moved to Tuesday

SpaceX says the rocket is carrying 23 Starlink satellites, as liftoff was supposed to happen at 11:29 a.m. on Monday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: SpaceX's Memorial Day Falcon 9 rocket launch from Cape Canaveral has been moved to Tuesday, the aerospace company announced in a post on X.

SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon 9 rocket with 23 Starlink satellites on it into space from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Monday morning, according to its website.

SpaceX says the rocket will "low-Earth orbit," which is an orbit with an altitude of 1,200 miles (2,000 km) or less, according to NASA. Liftoff is scheduled for 11:29 a.m., according to SpaceX, and if needed, additional opportunities for the launch are also available on Tuesday starting at 7:30 a.m.

This is the 10th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, SpaceX's website states, which previously launched Crew-6, SES O3b mPOWER, USSF-124, and six Starlink missions. After stage separation, the first stage will land on the 'A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship,' which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, the website further states.
