An owner in Israel is tired of cell phones in his restaurant so he's offering some incentive to diners.
Anyone who turns off their cell phone while eating at Jawdat Ibrahim'splaceoutside of Jerusalem will receive a 50 percent discount, the Associated Press reports.
Ibrahim blames the smart phone for ruining modern dining.
"I'm changing something. It might be something small, but maybe in some small way I'll be changing the culture of eating," Ibrahim, 49, told AP.
Abu Ghosh, a well-known restaurant named after its hometown, may be able to offer such steep discounts thanks to the owners luck.
While living in the United States, Ibrahim won $23 million in the Illinois state lottery.
His restaurant also gained notoriety in 2010 by setting theGuinness World Record for the largest plate of hummus, which weighed four tons.
