Yes, this racist jobs ad stating 'No African Americans needed' was posted on Indeed

A Georgia-based healthcare company said a racist job ad was maliciously put on its website and posted on Indeed. Indeed said it was "promptly removed."

ST. MARYS, Ga. — Many were asking if it was real or fake after seeing what appeared to be an inflammatory job listing posted on the employment website Indeed stating "No African Americans needed." The ad, which was shared by a user on X Feb. 3, was for AmeriPro EMS which services St. Marys, Ga. First Coast News, On Your Side, reached out to all of the parties involved.

WHAT WE FOUND

A user on X posted the job listing Feb. 3 on X stating "Yes, this is actually on @indeed. Yes, @AmeriProHealth is a real company. And yes, this is racist trash." Indeed responded on the user's post the following day stating, "We take the integrity of our jobs seriously and discrimination is strictly prohibited on Indeed. This post has been removed and we are taking steps to prevent this from happening again."

An X user shared this Indeed job posting on Feb. 3. The company said it was promptly removed.

First Coast News On Your Side reached out to Indeed and received the following statement:

“We take the integrity of our jobs seriously and discrimination is strictly prohibited on Indeed. This post was promptly removed, and we have taken steps to prevent this going forward. One of Indeed’s values is inclusion and belonging and this did not live up to that value. We can and will do better.”

First Coast News reached out to AmeriPro Health and has not yet heard back. On Feb. 3, the same day the X user posted the racist job listing on Indeed, AmeriPro Health posted on its X page
