Where early voting in Jacksonville will take place for 2024 elections

Duval County will have seven additional sites after Tuesday City Council vote.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — With the Iowa Presidential Primary coming up Jan. 15, it will officially kick off election season. How are things shaping for voting sites in Duval County?

For Florida's March 19 Presidential Primary, early voting is March 8-16 between 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Early voting for the Aug. 20 Florida Primary is Aug. 5-18, between 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For the Nov. 5 General Election, early voting will be 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Oct. 21-Nov. 3.

On Tuesday, Jacksonville City Council members unanimously approved 16-0 seven voting sites that were not in play in 2023 for a total of 24 early voting sites. According to the bill, the Duval County Supervisor of Elections estimates the cost of early voting at $33,000 per site per election, or a total of about $800,000 per election depending on the number of days being staffed.

Any eligible voter registered and living in Duval County may vote at any Duval County early voting site during early voting. A picture and signature ID are required.

The City Council members added the following seven early voting sites for next year's elections:

Holiday Inn Bartram Park South, 13934 Village Lake Circle

Maxville Branch Library, 8375 Maxville Blvd.

Police Athletic League, 11751 McCormick Road

Southside Community Center, 10080 Beach Blvd.

UF/IFAS Extension Duval County, 1010 N. McDuff Ave.

Willow Branch Library, 2875 Park St.
