Family members identified the man who was shot and killed during a home invasion in Northwest Jacksonville Friday.
Rodney Reid was reportedly found dead with a gunshot wound in a home in the 2200 block of Grand Street around 3:45 p.m., family told First Coast News.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office didn't release the victim's name. Police didn't say how many times the victim was shot or if there were any signs of forced entry.
"We are speaking to residents in the area, canvassing for video and being very thorough as we try to gather evidence," said Sgt. Jacob Vorpahl.
Family told First Coast News that Reid didn't have any enemies and they are now wondering if or why he was targeted.
