Buses could be 'significantly' later than usual Thursday for Duval students

DCPS says parents should expect widespread delays due to "abnormally high" number of bus driver absences.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There will be widespread bus delays for students attending Duval County Public Schools Thursday, according to an email from the district.

DCPS is expecting buses to arrive "significantly later than usual," due to "abnormally" high bus driver absences.

This will effect buses in both the morning and afternoon.

DCPS says that no matter how late buses pick up in the afternoon, children will be held in a safe place until then.
