JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead and another injured after a shooting in the Woodstock area Tuesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Shortly after 10 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2000 Prospect Street W in reference to someone shot. Upon arrival, they located the victim with gunshot wounds, where they were pronounced dead.
A second victim was also shot and was taken to a local hospital where they are being treated, police say.
Police say it's early in the investigation, and they are speaking with potential witnesses and others to determine the circumstances of this incident.
