JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Three people are dead after a quadruple shooting near the Town Center on the Southside late Tuesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO said the incident happened near I-295 and Town Center Parkway near the Gate gas station. Officers say someone fired multiple shots into a car and drove away.
According to Lt. Craig Waldrup with JSO, one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. One person died at the scene, the other two died at the hospital.The nearby University of North Florida released this statement regarding the nearby shooting:The initial police report states the incident was not domestic-related and no children were present at the scene.The victims in the car were not homeless and the search continues for at least one suspect.At this time, there is no description of the suspect's vehicle.
