Jacksonville man arrested stemming from November shooting in Northwest Jacksonville

One man was shot in the face and another in the neck in Northwest Jacksonville on Nov. 26.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police have made an arrest in a November shooting that wounded two men in the Carver Manor area.

James "Big Red" Reeves, 58, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and a count of armed robbery. His warrant was executed Monday, an arrest report said.

Between 2-2:15 p.m. on Nov. 26, Reeves entered 4922 Mississippi Court and shot a man in the face and another man in the neck, the report said. Both men were taken to UF Health and survived their injuries.

The report said Reeves was "personally known" to the victims.

A victim said he expected Reeves to come over and watch football with him. The heavily redacted report said Reeves entered the home  and later the restroom , then reemerged and shot the men. The report said he took an item from the men, which was also redacted.
