JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 66-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a truck Saturday night on Dunn Avenue in Jacksonville.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just before 7 p.m., the woman was crossing Dunn Avenue without a crosswalk near Harts Road.
A oncoming pickup truck hit the woman, who died as a result of her injuries, FHP said. No one inside the pickup truck was injured.
Dunn Avenue was closed as authorities worked to clear the scene. The road has since reopened.
