Arrest made in Jacksonville murder, 10 months after family said there was a lead in the case

Dylonn Baelle-Veneziale's family told First Coast News police were interviewing a suspect in his murder in July 28.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Ten months after his family told First Coast News police were interviewing a suspect in Dylonn Baelle-Veneziale's murder, there has been arrest in the case.

In July 29, 2023, his brother Brett Veneziale told First Coast News he heard there was progress in the investigation. “Part of me is happy and you know, I’m hoping we are one step closer to getting some answers,” he said.

Cierra Marie Martin, 31, was already serving a prison sentence for aggravated assault at Lowell Correctional Institute. She was taken to the Duval County Jail and was charged with Baelle-Veneziale's murder Friday.

Baelle-Veneziale was found dead in the 1300 block of Eddy Road on June 12, 2023.  He was found with gunshot wounds in the street.

His family said he was leaving a friend's house when he was killed.
