VyStar Credit Union to raise minimum wage to $15 an hour

The new wage kicks in January 1, 2019.

In an effort to become the "Best Place to Work," VyStar Credit Union announced Monday that it is increasing its minimum wage to $15 an hour for full-time workers.

President and CEO of Vystar, Brian E. Wolfburg, made the announcement along with other new and improved employee benefits beginning in 2019.

Other benefits include parental and family care leave, child adoption assistance, student loan payoff stipends and tuition assistance, and new and free medical insurance options.

"We value our employees and appreciate all that they do for our members; and just like our members, they deserve the best that is available," Wolfburg said in a press release.

VyStar is the 14th largest employer in Northeast Florida with over 1,400 employees.
