Sarah Bryant-Holcomb is the News Director of Tegna’s owned First Coast News On Your Side. She served the legacy Jacksonville NBC and ABC duopoloy’s newsroom as Assistant News Director for more than a year, followed by several months as Interim News Director.

Prior to moving to Jacksonville in December of 2020, Sarah was the Executive Producer of Content at Tegna’s KVUE in Austin, Texas where she helped bridge the gap between the newsroom and digital to create a One Content Team workflow. Before working as the EP of Content, Sarah was the Nightside EP for the 10:00 p.m. newscast.

Before joining KVUE, she worked nearly four years in the number three U.S. media market for Fox 32 News as a Morning News Producer for “Good Day Chicago,” collaborating with her associates on the cutting-edge five-and-a-half-hour show.

Sarah began her career as the morning and noon producer for KELOLAND TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During her two-and-a-half years there, she produced “KELOLAND This Morning,” as well as “Midday in KELOLAND,” and did regular on-air appearances during “KELOLAND News at 10:00.” Sarah and her morning team earned a regional Emmy for their groundbreaking coverage of a severe ice storm in Sioux Falls, as well as the Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in journalism.

A graduate of the University of North Texas, Sarah served as the news director for UNT’s television station, ntTV, during her senior year. Sarah and her news team there earned three prestigious awards in 2010 for their exceptional efforts: The first-place award from the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) for television in-depth reporting of their Fort Hood Coverage Compilation; SPJ’s first place award for the best all-around newscast; and before graduating, a 2010 Lone Star Emmy.

Sarah’s capable, visionary leadership is a welcomed addition to the First Coast News On Your Side team. She and her husband Allen have been married for four years and have a bubbly fur-baby named Maverick.
