Promax award winning and Emmy nominated Marketing Director with 25-years experience in television news. Kristen joined the First Coast News On Your Side team in March 2020. She said starting the position during the height of COVID gave her the unique ability to build a unified team and create successes in a challenging landscape. Recently, Kristen took on two new major roles at the station, overseeing the First Coast Living lifestyle show as well as all community affairs initiatives.

Kristen has a background steeped in news. Before graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 1994 she held positions as a reporter for her hometown bi-weekly newspaper, The Standard Times, as well as associate-producer for WPRI/WNAC Eyewitness News Providence. She learned both speed in writing and accuracy from a young age and went on to work writing and shaping newscasts from WRDW Channel 12 in Augusta Ga., to WTKR Newschannel 3 in Norfolk, VA to WBZ Channel 4 in Boston.

Kristen made the transition to marketing in 1999 as promotion producer for the station she grew up watching, WPRI/WNAC Eyewitness News Providence. She rose to the position of Senior Promotion Producer before making the leap to WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 in Norfolk, VA. Kristen made her mark at the legacy NBC-FOX duopoly launching a Promax Award Winning W82TXT campaign. She got her start in leadership there as well. Kristen was promoted from Senior Promotion Producer to Creative Services Director in 2011.

Kristen thrives on motivating, leading, teaching and inspiring creative teams. She notes her biggest joy is seeing good people go onto great things. Kristen served on the NBC Station Marketing Council for more than three terms, second longest only to NBC legend Marty Frey.

Kristen has a passion for stationery cycling and has three instructor certifications under her belt. She teaches two Les Mills RPM classes a week at YMCA at Flagler Health+ Village in St. Augustine. When she is not inspiring a team of 14 writers, producers, photojournalists, graphic artists and co-hosts, you can find her practicing new spin choreography in the gym.
