JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — David Benfield joined First Coast Living as co-host in 2023. Prior to joining the team, David worked extensively in Jacksonville media as Director of Video Production for San Marco-based advertising firm, Client Focused Media, and photographer and digital content editor at News4Jax.
David is also a working musician and actor. David’s band, Dakar, can be seen rocking Jacksonville’s local concert venues and you can catch his acting work on national commercials for companies like Ethos Life and Ford Motor Company.
David is a performer by nature and is ecstatic to have the opportunity to host a show that covers the community he loves and has called home most of his life.
David was born in Marietta, GA (GO BRAVES!) and moved to the First Coast as a child, where he has lived on-and-off since. He is married to his wife, Lina, and lives in an Avondale home they restored. They have two amazing pups, named Victor J. BubbaChunks and August “The Sandwhich” Luca.
In his spare time, David can be found traversing many of the majestic waterways in Northeast Florida on his kayak. You can find David on air Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. on WTLV NBC 12.
